A/N Eugh, I am SO not good at titles! This is set in a Harry's last year at
Hogwarts, when he, Ron and Hermione are seventeen. This will get better in
the next chapter, I promise. Sorry it's so short. PLEASE review!
Harry Potter and the Dark Lord's Daughter

1 Part 1
As they sat in the Gryffindor common room playing wizard chess one dark stormy night, Harry and Ron could have sworn they heard something bashing against the window of the tower room. Hermione, who was watching them, flung open the window- but there was nothing there.
"Must have been the wind," she told Harry and Ron, but she didn't really think so, and nor did the boys.
Later the sound came again, and Harry ran to the window, but this time, when he threw it open, a minute black owl was blown in and promptly fainted in Ron's lap.
Hermione prodded it gently, and breathed a sigh of relief as the tiny owl opened it's eyes blearily.
Then Ron noticed a piece of parchment bound tightly to it's legs which Harry saw at the same moment, and together they managed to gently tug it off.
Harry read the spidery writing on the parchment aloud while Ron and Hermione listened:
I'm Callisto, daughter of He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named, and my father has trapped me in his childhood home. HUH! The stupid oaf didn't even realise I had Archimedes the owl with me, even though it was pretty obvious I was hiding something under my robes. Typical male!
Well, even I can't get of out this place, so I really need a hand.
I've sent Archimedes to you and your friends, Harry, 'cos you're the one even he can't kill and I've heard your friends are pretty smart. It's getting boring in this dump, even with my wand and Archy. But be careful! Even the oaf my father realised SOMEONE would realise I was missing and would try to find me, and for someone who's only vapour and mist he's done a brilliant (for him) job of guarding this house. By the way, I'm in this little Muggle village called Little Hangleton.
See You Soon! (I hope)
Callisto Riddle (I refuse
to use the name Voldemort)
As they listened with astonishment to the strange letter, Hermione's brain was working fast.
When Harry came to a close, she exclaimed. "Wow! I didn't know Voldemort had a daughter. But how can we know it's true, and not just Voldemort trying his tricks?"
"Or even just some idiot -Malfoy possibly- having a joke." added Ron
"But what if it was true?" answered Harry, the light of adventure kindling in his eyes. "We could take Buckbeak now Sirius is back, and enlarge the invisibility cloak so that it would cover all of us. We'd could just go and have a look, and if we found out that the letter was false, we could get back to Hogwarts without anyone knowing."
"Sirius would know though," said Hermione shrewdly. "He's so close to Buckbeak that he'd know if he was gone, even just for a night. And this Little Hangleton place isn't going to be that close to here."
"Well, why not ask him to come with us?" said Harry eagerly.
"And if he forbids us to anything about it? replied Hermione, more sensibly. "Then we'd be stuck, wouldn't we?"
"He wouldn't," replied Ron. "Sirius loves adventure more than we do!"
