The Tears of a White Rose
Hello everybody! I was bored, so I wrote this fic... I noticed one day, that back on the Moon Kingdom, Serena never had a father, so I wrote this to attempt to explain why. Please review, I hope you like it! ^^
Disclaimer: I don't own any of the sailor moon characters, but Serena's father Tranqilan, and Shoraen are my characters! So don't use them, k? Or I'll have to hunt you down!! And you don't want that, do you? No, of course not. ^^ So, just do as I say, and I won't force anyone to snort dandelions. ^-^
Chapter 1: Foolish Dreams
"Princess Serena! Come quick! Your father is here!" one of the palace servants called to Princess Serenity, who was sleeping in a hammock. The small princess sleepily opened her eyes, and rubbed the sleep out of them. She jumped out of the hammock, and raced towards the palace. Serena ran through the Moon Palace, and into the throne room. Before anyone noticed she was late for her father's arrival, she quietly slipped into the throne beside her mother, Queen Serenity.
"Sleeping again, my dear?" Serenity asked, looking ahead and not at her daughter.
"Um..." Serena replied, fidgeting with her dress. Serenity smiled, and gave her heir a pat on the head.
Serena started to giggle, but then the trumpets sounded, and her father rode in on a white Pegasus.
"Father!" the young princess cried, gathering her dress in her hands, and running down the steps to her father.
"Bunny!" He cried his pet name for his daughter while jumping from the winged creature. Serena leaped into his arms.
"Daddy, I'm so glad you're back! Please don't go away, ever, never again!" She sobbed, burying her face in his long silver hair.
"Don't worry, Princess. I won't. Not for a long time. The king looked past his daughter a moment, and smiled at his wife, who returned the gesture.
"I knew you'd come home! Now we can all be together forever!" Serena said happily. But suddenly, she awoke, and a single tear ran down her cheek. It had all been a dream. Once again, nothing more but the foolish, hopeful dreams of a small child.
