I don't own LOTR. If I wrote it, it'd probably suck. It's perfect as-is.

Sam starts a diary. This is the only entry. Sorry if you like it, cause I'm not doing any after this. It just seemed... right, right now.

FINAL WARNING: This is yaoi! Slash! Guy/guy pairings! No like, no read! If you flame me, I'll just say that you were warned!

Hello, it's Samwise Gamgee. Ok, I know some may find it strange to confide in a book, but it's the only thing to open my heart to.

I know someday songs and poems and books will be written about this journey we're on. And I know I'll be the fall-guy. I mean, Frodo's the star; he's the Ring-bearer. I'm just the poor fool who pathetically follows him around. But Sam, you're the only one willing to do it. Everyone else parted, even if it wasn't by choice.

I'm not saying I regret coming. No, not at all.

Though I know for a fact that if someone does make a book of our adventure, some people will be able to tell how I feel about Frodo, good Master Frodo. Especially with how I've been acting recently. I do love him, more than my own self. But what's a book know about the subject?

Yes, keeping the excuse of keeping the promise to Gandalf covers it, delays me having to admit it. But I don't know how much longer that excuse would hold, and God knows I'd follow him to the ends of the Earth anyway.

Someday, I'm sure people will laugh at the thought. Or take it seriously, but joke about it. Maybe a few will even take it sincerely enough to find it sweet, and not be humorous about the subject. I mean, how can one choose whom he loves? Is it my fault some may find it laughable? Certainly not!

It has been hard keeping up with him; he's so adventurous and takes his job seriously. That's something I love about him. But I will keep up with him. If I loose sight of him, I may lose him forever. And who would be able to live with that?

But, you are just a book, incapable of losing a loved on, let alone worrying about it. Maybe I'll be able to divulge in a real person someday. Book, do your job and keep my secrets safe, as I will be sure I do for Master Frodo.
