Legal Disclaimer-Only Kon-Ar is mine, everything else belongs to the
geniuses at DC comics.
The first thing Kon-Ar felt upon materializing was cold, very cold. His dark brown eyes, unaccustomed to brightness after so long in the wavery dimension known as the Phantom Zone, took a moment to adjust. He realized he was kneeling on a floor made completely of ice. He shook his head and stood up, everything taking a moment to lose its hazy edges and become clear.
Kon-Ar was tall and extremely well muscled, a fact made obvious by the black bodysuit he wore. His brown hair was disheveled and a slight stubble covered his handsome, chiseled face. When everything became clear, he saw a projector very similar the one that had imprisoned him so long ago. Operating it was a man as hugely muscular as him, if not more so. Raven black topped a handsome face with the bangs falling in a single curl over the forehead. The man was attired in a blue suit with red briefs, cape, boots and an S emblazoned on his chest.
"Greetings, I'm Kal-El," The man stepped forward cautiously, as though not sure what to expect. The one calling himself Kal-El offered his hand.
Kon-Ar grasped it and shook. "My name is Kon-Ar. How did I get here?" Blunt. Direct and to the point, just like the Security officer he was…had been.
"I was going through some old records and I found a trial. It was quite fascinating really, the whole story about you assassinating that scientist, even though you were his top bodyguard. But then I found out new evidence had been brought up. You were framed. The Security Force was going to bring you out but then…" Kal-El trailed off.
"What?" Kon-Ar asked, curiously.
"Krypton exploded. You know how the Science Council was predicting a catastrophe because the quakes kept getting worse? Well, it exploded. I was launched to this planet, Earth in a rocket by my father Jor-El moments before Krypton's final quake. This, is my Fortress of Solitude and here, on Earth, we have powers greater than any normal inhabitant…" He went on, something about doing the right thing, not using the powers for evil. Kon- Ar wasn't paying attention though. A great weight settled upon him as not a lump, but a boulder rose in his throat. Flashes of his wife Kilia and their little infant daughter Zarona exploded in his mind. Exploded…
"NOOOOOO!" Kon-Ar fell to his knees as he cried out in anguish.
