"Babysitting?! Me?!" I let out a grunt as a fell back against a tree, still not believing my ears. I had to baby-sit for a Nekono, or part human, part cat. "It'll be good for you, Piccolo..." the Nekono's sister said grinning. "Don't worry, she won't be any trouble..."...That last statement left me thinking.
When the girl finally arrived at my waterfall, I had thought my little problem over and over again. I finally concluded I should leave her in a ditch and come home to meditate. Yeah...that would work! Unfortunately, when I saw her, I thought...she was the cutest thing I had ever seen. Wait, did I even know what cute meant? Did I? No. I was a Namek Warrior, goddammit! I had no time to feel happy!
Kiki, as it turned out her name was, was a rather small ball of energy all in her own. She bounced off the trees, chased butterflies...until she found out, when I was meditating, they died "shocking" deaths. Even so, she forced me to play with her games like "hide and seek" and "tag". These were oddly fun. Wait, what is fun, anyway?
Finally, night fell, and she needed a bath. This bothered me, being she was a girl, and I...wasn't. Even so, I was devoted...sort of...to my job. I picked her up, and carried her down to the bottom of the waterfall, where the water...was just right for a child like her. Placing her down, I turned, and walked back behind a tree to wait.
I sat there for a while, listening to the playful splashing of the young Nekono while she cleaned herself up. "Piccolo?" the girl finally called. "...do you have a towel?" NOW I was scared. What was I supposed to do, and what was a towel? Then it dawned on me. She needed something to dry off with! Searching around, I finally tugged off my cape and tossed it from behind the tree to where I heard the girl's voice. "Thank you!" she called over.
