Frozen Tear

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~*
Quietly I walked through the snowy wood
Stalling the hour as long I could
Falling snow was the only sound
The language of each flake I understood
The downy white clung to the ground
But then my heart began to pound
I heard snow crunch and twig creak
And it was then my voice I found
Alone in the wood, I felt lost and meek
But then someone began to speak
I spun around and saw him there
And suddenly the season was less bleak
The snowflakes stuck now to my hair
On my cheek froze a single tear
He pulled me close and hugged me near
He pulled me close and hugged me near
