In Pippin's Point of View
Merry and I went to raid Farmer maggot's crop today. We were running with the old hobbit hot on our tails when I bumped in to Sam. That was odd. He is so boring that he has never even been that far away from his whole. Well it was that accident with Sam that changed my life. Well I wasn't going to make this little meeting let me get caught by Mr. Maggot. No Way!
I gave Sam the stolen vegetables and continued running. I saw Frodo with Sam. Sam finally noticed the danger he was in and followed Merry and I. Frodo followed us when he saw Maggot's hay cutter thingamajig. It so happens that in the rush we were in we fell right down the hill into the road. At least we lost Farmer Maggot. For some reason Frodo didn't want to be there on the road but there were Mushrooms so I did not pay much attention to him.
Something real weird happened then. All of a sudden we were hiding under a tree with a terrifying man in a black robe. It all happened so quickly. The next thing I knew we were on the ferry urging Frodo to Hurry. The Robed man had him almost in his hands, but he jumped on to the raft just in time. Frodo told us that he had to go to Bree. Good old' Merry Knows where pretty much every thin in the Shire and near it is so he got us there in no time. Bree has big Folk in it which are weird and scary in almost every way, but they make good beer. The men there seemed curios so I told them about Merry Sam Frodo and myself. Frodo was coming my way so I started to introduce him. He slipped on some mugs of ale and fell with a thump on the ground. I saw something flash right above him and he suddenly disappeared! What is it with these Bagginses disappearing all the time?
We did not see Frodo so Sam, Merry, and I ran up to our rooms. Sure enough there was Frodo with a mysterious man. The three of us were ready to go down to save Mr. Frodo but the man did not seem to want to hurt him instead he told us things of Gandalf and The Riders. It has been all very confusing but if thereis one thing I do understand is that my life will never be the same.
