The Truth
Disclaimer – No, I don't own any of George Lucas's Brilliant works. (Damn.)
Summary – A strange dream causes Leia to get suspicious and scared. (Imagine that she never found out about Anakin being her real father. Please! () Should she do anything about it? Well, I haven't written any star wars fics for quite a long long time! I'm just brushing off the dust and suggestions and reviews are welcome! (
Chief of State, Leia Organa Solo trudged to her bed. "Power up." She muttered. Instantly dim lights lit her room. Her whole body ached from spending the day galloping from store to store with the twins and Anakin. They desperately needed new clothing and she found it better to shop for the clothes herself instead of just sending a droid. It made her feel more like a mother. But this day was filled with interruptions from various messengers and people who wished to present her with their latest, most unimportant dispute. She shrugged off her simple dark green dress and matching robe, hung her lightsaber on its hook and sleepily pulled a nightgown on. She desperately missed Han and wished he hadn't accepted that mission to Kessel. Those were her last thoughts as she drifted off into a fitful sleep.
Leia stood enshrouded in a pool of white light that slowly formed into surroundings. A lush green garden with a stone path leading off into various regions and forests lay before her. Her curious gaze led her to a bench with an older woman sitting on it. Her dark brown waves were flecked with gray and even though Leia could not see her face, she knew she was aged. 'Is that you, Sabe? Come with me and talk! I have news for you!' Leia blinked. Sabe? Who was that? The voice sounded awfully familiar. Almost like… Her mother's! Leia ran lightly to the bench and bent down in front of her. It was her. Amidala! Leia's voice hinted at surprise, pleasure and love. 'Mother, it's me! Leia!' 'Leia? My little girl, Leia? But, that cannot be. I haven't heard news of her in over 35 years!' Amidala looked down into her daughter's face and saw that it was her. 'Oh, it's me and oh, how I have missed you! Do you still have the amethyst rock I gave you when I left? Amidala smiled weakly. 'Always in my pocket sweetheart, always.' She kissed her on the forehead. 'I have missed you so much! Tell me of your life!' Leia happily let events spill out. When she finished, Amidala sat back and smiled. 'So, you have two sons and a daughter…how wonderful. You must bring them to see your old mother, how I would love that!' Leia smiled and nodded, taking her mother's hand in hers. You must tell me what happened to you! Why didn't you ever contact me? You left me with bits and pieces of memories and I always felt so empty… Didn't you ever think about me? I always thought about you!' Amidala's frail body tensed. 'It would've been too dangerous. Vader would have known and he would have killed you.' Leia shook her head. 'But why? How was I of any importance to him? I was but a mere Senator's daughter.' 'No, Leia. No. You were not a mere Senator's daughter. You are my daughter. You are the heir. The second heir of our family.'
Leia awoke with a start. She brought numb fingers up to rub her tired eyes. Second heir of what? She heard her mother's voice over and over in her head. "You are the heir. The second heir of our family.' What did that mean? She sighed and desperately wished that she wouldn't have woken up. She would ask Luke about it in the morning. In the mean time, she would sit and muse over it for a while by herself. Heir. Heir of? And why did her mother tell her this? It was impossible. Her mother was dead. Or was she?
