Hiya, this is my first fic and I'm a bit nervous about it. This actually started out as a piece I had to write for English. If you ant to leave a review or comment, then by all means, but if not, that's cool to, I just hope you enjoy it. If you'd like to check out some more Tom goodies stop by my humble abode, 'nevermore': http://www.envy.nu/tmriddle
That quote at the end is from 'The War of the Worlds'. I just tacked it on their because it reminded me of Tom.
Disclaimer: None of the characters belong to me,if they did, I probably wouldn't be sitting in front of a three year old piece of monkey poo comp, that decides when and when not to work.
"Waiting"
'Soon' he thought to himself, leaning against the cold marble pillar, 'Soon everything I've worked for, everything I've dreamed of will come to pass.'
He glanced at the unconscious form of Ginny Weasly, at the base of the enormous stone statue.
'The message has been delivered' he thought. 'He will come soon. Then I will have the answers
I seek.'
Sighing, he looked at his hand. It was blurred around the edges as though seen through a fog;
he was only a memory after all. Loosing interest with his ghost like hand, he folds his arms across his chest.
'Where to from here?' thought the dark-haired boy. 'Even if I do manage to lure Potter down here, what then? I doubt he'll be much of a problem, getting rid of him should be easy. But what after that? A memory can do but so much. Even if I find another hoste, to continue in my
footsteps, the footsteps of the great Salazar Slytherin, what would that truly accomplish in the
end?'
He closed his eyes and listened to the steady drip of water that leaked into the dark hidden chamber beneath the lake.
'Others. I must find others then. Others who believe in my noble cause. The Mudblood filth that contaminates our world will be dealt with, once and for all!'
His crimson eyes snapped open, in them a kind of furious determination.
'Only then will wizard kind be able to rise forth and claim this earth our own! We've been
forced to live in secrecy, in fear of our kind being exposed to the Muggle-race! In fear of our inferiors! The Muggle beast, will be no more, as a new reign, my reign, begins.....They will feel pain as I have felt it and they will suffer as I have suffered......
Filled with a new energy he never knew himself to possess, he awaited his guest.
A boy entered the chamber. A boy with messy black hair and vivid green eyes. He approached the statue, not yet noticing the other figure, which stood so closely, watched so intently, and even in that moment deciding his fate.
"Ginny!" this new boy cried. "Ginny - don't be dead - please don't be dead - " he rushed over to the girl and turned her over. The black diary which had begun it all, lay a feet from her. "Ginny please wake up!"
"She won't wake" said the soft voice of Tom Marvolo Riddle. 'Soon' he thought, as he watched the stunned face of Harry Potter, turn from Ginny to himself. 'Soon...........'
