Hermione stepped onto the train at platform 9 ¾. She was in her 7th year at Hogwarts and was planning to make it her best yet.
She saw her friend Ron and waved. she skipped over to the compartment that he was saving while trying to take off her head girl badge. She knew that neither him nor harry liked her being prefect so she knew that they wouldn't like her being head girl either.
"Hi! How have you guys been?" she asked immediately as she stepped into the compartment.
"I've been fine Hermione. How about you?" Harry answered almost immediately.
"Good thank you. You Ron?"
"I've been fine too. What happened to your hair?"
"Oh, I just decided to try something new. Do you like it layered or normal better?" She asked nervously. She had layered it to try and look nice for both boys.
"I like it better this way." Harry offered. Hermione beamed at him. He always made it a point to make her feel special.
"Awww, it's OK, I guess," Ron said absentmindedly, but Hermione caught him staring at her a minute later.
They began to talk about the summer's events, were they had been and what they had done. While they were talking, a horrid thought went through all of their minds. They imagined themselves standing in front of a burning stake, and on it was Voldemort. But the image flashed away in an instant and they even forgot who Neville was.
"Have you guys ever had premonitions?" Harry asked curiously.
"Oh, I'm so glad you said something! When you said that, I had this image, of… someone, burning on a stake. A had a feeling I knew them, but I didn't remember them." Hermione said tentatively.
"I've been the same way!" Ron said excitedly. "I had the exact same image. I don't think it was a premonition though because it seems like it's already happened."
"Yeah, same here," Harry agreed. They all sat in silence for a moment, trying to figure out every thought that was going through their minds, when the train rolled to a stop. They knew they couldn't be there, but some how… they knew exactly where they were. They saw figures going down the corridors. Hermione stood up, but some force told her to sit back down. It was lucky she did, for right where she was standing, a rock fell that was bigger than all of them put together. Ron, Hermione, and Harry all looked up as one.
