Resurrection
Part 2: Readjustment

Betsy had relearned how to fight, but now was the hard part: relearning her powers. Fortunately, she had Barom to help her.

"Clear your mind of all thoughts." Barom instructed. "Now focus."

Betsy closed her eyes and the energy of her psychic blade covered her fist.
Barom laughed joyfully. "That's perfect!" Betsy unclenched her fist and the energy dissipated.

She smiled and hugged Barom. "You told me that would be painful! It wasn't at all!" Barom nodded. "It didn't, but relearning how to use your telepathy will."

That night, Betsy had another unpleasant sleep. She was already hearing so many thoughts from those in the Hotel and it made her want to scream as loud as she could to drown out the noise, but the voices grew louder. She sat up and screamed in agony.

Barom walked through the wall with a concerned look on his face. He consoled her. "The strength of your powers has increased, but don't worry. You'll learn to block out the thoughts. Just relax."

Inner Sanctum of The Order
A cloaked man and woman stood in front of a crystal ball and saw Barom and Betsy. "I think he's training her quite well." Said the woman. "But he is growing too close to her, Kala. There will come the time in her training where she must be alone. They cannot be allowed to develop a psychic bond. You know what happened the last time."

Kala sighed. "Yes. I do. He sacrificed himself to save the last woman this happened with and she died with him. The bond becomes to powerful with him. But I believe he learned his lesson."

The man, Bal, nodded. "I hope that is true."
