What I've Seen

You'd be surprised

At what I can do

If you only spent

Some time in my crew!

I have done much.

That much is true!

I have seen much.

That is all too true.

I have seen warriors,

Great Kings of Men

Break down and pray

For their life to end.

I have seen monsters

Beyond all belief.

Swords are no use.

Put it back in its sheath.

I have seen things

That stalk in the night.

But many things worse

I have seen in daylight.

I have seen magic

Both good and bad.

Sometimes be helpful,

Others not, my lad!

But there are other things

That I have seen.

Simply read on

And see what I mean!

I have seen Men

Mount up on wings!

And fly with the Eagles!

Among other things!

I have seen miracles!

Great forces at work!

Fine if you don't believe me!

Sit there and smirk!

I have seen underdogs!

Outnumbered and outwitted

Come out on top!

No matter how hard-hitted!

I have seen good

Always prevail

Never give up!

No matter how hard assailed!

The point of this poem,

Is it can be bad or good

To think not until second,

And first step out your neighborhood!
