Dear Journal:
Hello. It's been quite a while my friend.
Elphie is incredibly angry that I haven't written anything here for the past month. Angry to the point of throwing random sharp items at my head, and shoving me into stationary objects. Ah, she's really quite lovely when you get to know her, and I'm not just saying that because she's threatening me with a large hammer.
The last month has been quite dreary. Only a few things of note have happened. Last week we went to a small pub, O'Brien's, I think. I had a nice time there, though I was very disappointed by their lack of absinthe. I don't really remember most of the night, and every time I ask Elphie she refuses to answer, and then goes off and giggles for a while. Out of all the people in the world to live with, I ended up with an adolescent girl. A few nights ago Elphie had two of her friends over, Eva, Joly's typist, and another girl, Alex, who I had never met before. It was horrible! Three 12 year old girls running around, yelling, giggling, and making my life a living hell! I refuse to live in a house where things like that are a daily occurrence, though Elphie says I don't have much of a choice. I hate it when she's right.
