I don't own anything
A Mothers Love
Why did she leave me?
"Mama,"
Didn't' she love me?
"They picked me mama. I'm an elite pilot now,"
When she was sick, she always talked to that damn DOLL.
"Mama, look at me. Don't stop being my mother."
I can still hear her words.
"Be a good girl Asuka. Come to heaven with mama."
"No. I don't want to go to heaven with you."
I remember running through the hospital, door after door gliding past. Finally opening the door to her room. Finding her. She had the strangest smile on her face as her body swung slowly from side to side, head tilted oddly at one angle.
But the worst part, was that doll. That doll with red hair. It was on the floor beneath her, its head ripped off. Little Asuka went to heaven with her mother, and the real, four-year-old Asuka, was left to find her body.
~~~~~~~~~~~~
Asuka Langley Sohryu slowly opened her eyes and looked down at the small baby in her arms.
"How are you feeling Asuka?"
She looked up at the sound of her fiancés voice. Shinji Ikari stood in the doorway watching his family.
She smiled softly, "I'm a little tired," she admitted.
"That's understandable considering what you've been through." He walked over to the rooms single bed as the door quietly hissed shut behind him. "You look so beautiful," he whispered as he knelt at her side.
"I don't feel beautiful," she sighed.
"Do you regret anything?"
"No Shin-chan, I don't. I love our daughter, our little Simine."
Shinji smiled and gently kissed her forehead. "A mothers love is a beautiful thing Asuka," he said. Her smile fell away as memories of a doll with red hair rose unbidden in her mind.
"It isn't always so beautiful," she whispered as she felt his arms slowly encircle her body and hold her close. Their daughter slept on, as her mother quietly wept in her fathers' arms.
End.
Hmmm... I have NO idea where that one came from. It was there... I wrote it... end of story.
