EPISODE 14: Survival
As Lucas Amato came out through the other side of the alley, he saw the apartment where his best friend Adrian Seidelman lived. He also now knew that his love, Cybersix, also lived there. Were Adrian and Cybersix having an affair? That's what Lucas always asked himself. But that was before Lori had given him Adrian's glasses and explained that Cybersix had worn them and placed them on the car for her to take. As soon as he had heard that, he immediately pieced all that had happened together and he quickly solved the puzzle. No, Adrian and Cybersix weren't having an affair, because someone can't have an affair with themselves.
"I can't believe it," Lucas said to himself as he opened the building's door. "Adrian is Cybersix and I never found out until now. But now, whenever I think about it, it was just too easy to find out. Adrian knew that Jose's Circus of Doom was all just a setup to catch her. Adrian never liked hospitals, and now Lucas thought he knew why. It was because they might discover that he was really a woman, or that he was an android. He wasn't too sure about it, so he decided just ask Cybersix about it. Lucas finished climbing the stairs and then turned the corner. Even a building this far away from the explosion was damaged, he thought. Lucas, who was now very excited, kicked down the door to Cybersix's apartment and found nothing. The light was on, but no one was inside. He checked in the closet and found one of Cybersix's costumes.
"So, you know about her too?" asked a high pitched voice. Lucas turned around, shocked, and found an oriental man with large teeth leaning against the door frame.
"Who are you?" Lucas demanded. "And what do you know about Cybersix?"
"Oh, I know quite a bit about your female friend, Lucas. It is Lucas, right?"
"How do you know my name?" a surprised Lucas asked.
"Cybersix told me all about you," he explained. "She also told me how much she loved you. Do you know where she is? I mean, did she survive that explosion?"
"I don't know. I just came here to check if she was here resting or something," Lucas explained. "I hope she survived. She was my only true love. She was also my best friend. Or at least, when she was Adrian. But that doesn't change anything."
"No, it certainly doesn't, Mr. Amato," the man agreed.
"So, what's your name?" Lucas asked.
"I'm Yashimoto, PI," he answered.
"You're a Private Investigator? Is that why you know Cybersix's secret?"
"Yes," Yashimoto replied. "I was confronted by a little boy named Jose who told me about Cybersix, and then while spying on her, I found out that she was also a man named Adrian Seidelman."
