I lean on a wall in a dancing room.

Because I passed a test that almost lead to my doom.

It makes no difference to me, I don't care.

I look ahead of me in a passionless stare.

A girl comes by and offers a drink.

I take one and sip, trying not to think.

Zell shows up and wants to shake my hand.

I turned my head, ignoring him and the musical band.

He finally leaves and I continue to gaze,

And then comes Selphie with her praise.

She asks for me to join a committee.

I ignore her as well, just like the man from the nearby city.

She stares at me for a very short while,

And then goes away, to continue her guile.

I turn my eyes to look out the top window,

And see a shooting star leave a lighted shadow.

Looking down from the glass ceiling,

A girl who saw the star is looking at me, smiling.

As she points to the sky, her grin wide,

I peer curiously, cocking my head to the side.

She saunters over, asking me to dance.

I sip my drink and turn away my glance.

She suddenly waves her hand, I look to see.

This girl then says, "You're going to like me."

I chuckle slightly, finding this a little humorous.

My excuse, "I can't dance," she finds preposterous.

Without a thought, she takes my hand,

And begins to dance to the music of the band.

I sway and swerve in utter confusion,

But the thought of me going away, to her is a dillusion.

Halfway through, she smiles at me,

I quit my act and start to dance freely.

After the final step, in each other's eyes we glance.

I look up to see fireworks prance.

When looking back down, she sees something.

She goes away, hardly saying anything.

This night was strange, I have to say.

Who was that girl, and why was she that way?

Answering these questions I won't bother to endeavor.

You think she'll mean something to me?_..whatever.
