Snow Angel
She ran ahead of me, twirling around in the snow. She stopped for a moment, giggling and blinking as snowflakes landed on her eyelashes. I smiled and walked towards her. To the world, she was my best friend, but to me, she was much more. I loved her. I loved my best friend, as in, in love. I guess that's why co-ed best friends aren't common. Then an idea occurred to me. I walked up to her, and prepared to tickle her. She saw me and attempted to run away, but I caught her before she could make her escape. I took my role as the tickle monster, and tickled her in her most ticklish spots, her sides the best. Finally, I released her, and she fell into the snow. Her angelic laughter continued, joy expressed in her beautiful eyes. She began to move her arms up and down, and her legs in an open and closed motion. After a while, she stopped, and just lay there. " Help me up please," she asked, lifting her arm. I took hold of her hand and easily pulled her up. I looked at the spot
where she had laid. " It looks like an angel was there," I said out loud, by accident. She looked at me, confused, for a second, and then glanced at the spot where she had been. She giggled and said, " You're right!!" I took a closer look. It indeed looked like the outline of an angel. It was a snow angel. I was relieved, but I still needed to tell her. It was now or never. I wrapped my arms around her from behind, and whispered into her ear, " Probably because there was..." She turned to face me slowly. I gave her a gentle look, took a deep breath, and said to her, " I love you, and I know you'll probably never want to see me again bu--" I was cut off by her lips pressed against mine. Her arms wrapped themselves around my neck, as mine around her small waist. How long we stood there, I don't know, but what I do know, is that I was, and still am, the happiest man alive.
Now, you may go to the dentist about the cavity I just gave you.
