Although she looked so much more different from she had the last time he saw her twelve years ago, he still recognized her. She was sitting on a wall in front of a fountain reading a book, her bleached, tangled hair falling in front of her face. He stared at her mesmerized at the fact he had finally found her and the only telltale sign of her past and her family being the bright red roots that contrasted deeply with the blonde. A gust a wind blew, waving her hair wildly around her face and she absent-mindedly reached up to brush it out of her eyes. As she did so, she looked up and saw the young man staring at her whom she hadn't seen in years.

As the two stared at each other, his mind flashed back to the last time he had seen her. It was twelve years ago, when she was seventeen and he was eighteen. He was visiting her before he left to go to a different country with his wife. They were talking which had developed into some stupid argument that had them both screaming at each other at the top of their lungs. He called her something which he couldn't even remember and she stalked off to her room. Right before she reached the door she turned around and stared at him with pure hatred.
"I hate you."
"I hate you too." He spat back and she stared at him for a minute before spinning around and heading into her room, slamming the door behind her. He heard the click of the lock and he sunk down to the ground, knowing that they would never be the same.

Thinking back, he wanted to laugh bitterly. Although he knew that there would always be tension between them, he wasn't ready for waking up the next morning to find out she had run away. After she was missing for two years, she was assumed to be dead but he wouldn't believe it. Something in his gut had told him she was still alive and that's what kept him going. Friends of his had told him that they had seen a girl who looked "Just-Like-Her-But-With-Blonde-Hair." Thinking that she would never leave her red roots, they never stopped to see if it was her.

For so many years, he had been looking for her, but now that she was sitting in front of him, he couldn't bring himself to say anything. He wanted to yell at her. To talk to her. To tell her he loved her. But, he just stood rooted to his spot, well aware of the tears that had soaked his cheeks because her face mirrored his own as she waiting for him to say something. Finally, she stood up and began to walk away. Panicking, he reached out and grabbed her arm as she passed him. "I'm sorry." He whispered and she turned around to face him.
"I'm sorry too." She said, tears dripping off her chin. The two stared at each other with a comfortable silence between them.
"God, Ginny. I missed you so much." He said and her face crumbled as they crushed each other in a hug. Slowly, she pulled back and stared at the young man in front of her. The only man she had trusted and loved unconditionally.
"I missed you too, Ron." She said and the two siblings hugged again.

AN(Part 2): I originally made this out to be a Harry/Ginny story then, as I started to write, I realized that it made a better Ron/Ginny story because I really didn't want a love story so I made in unconditional love. I feel this story refects my own brother and me because after years of fighting, we're finally getting along so I decided to make it into a story but kinda reversed.
