Title: Fallen Tears
Rating: R because it involves strong subject matter
Dedication: This is for my friend Chrys because she was the one who told me to get a new account and then maybe I would be able to post stories, which I can! So thank you Chrys!
Disclaimer: I don't own the characters, but I do own the idea which came from partially from another story and partially from my friend who is a little bit like Jo, but thankfully she's better now!
The tears kept rolling down Joey's crimson cheeks. Her palms were sweaty and trembling. In one palm, she held a razor. Her intention had been to drag it across her skin. She had hoped to ease the pain in her heart. Now, sitting in her old rusty tub, Joey realized that she couldn't do it. She dropped the razor and listened as it banged to the bottom of the tub. Her hands found there way to her face where they wiped away her tears.
Slowly, Joey picked herself up and went to the nearest phone. Her trembling hands picked up the receiver and dialed the number she had known so well.
"Hello." The voice on the other end of the line was solemn and sincere. It was a voice that Joey had been longing to hear for so long.
"Pacey. I need you." She whimpered into the phone.
"Jo?" He asked, his voice uncertain.
"Please Pace..." Her voice drifted off.
"Okay, calm down, I'll be right there." He assured her. He threw the phone down and headed towards the door.
"Hey, where ya going?" Gretchen asked him as he grabbed his coat. He stopped briefly to look in her eyes, and she knew. Without any explanation from him, she knew where he was going. There had only been one person in his life that he would run to like this. Joey. She pushed him out the door.
Pacey sped down the highway, he knew that it was a hike from Capeside to Boston, but he had to be there for her. There were no cars on the dark road as he drove.
He reached the city within 20 minutes, his fastest time ever, and headed towards Worthington. When he got there, Pacey pushed through the people in the halls and up to Joey's room. He banged on the door. Audrey, Joey's roommate opened it.
"Come on in," She said, "Joey's in the bathroom, she locked the door. She's not going to let anyone in." Audrey finished.
Pacey didn't listen to what Audrey had said. He ran to the bathroom and knocked on the door.
"Go away Audrey!" Joey yelled.
"Jo?" Pacey asked her. "Can you open the door please." He waited until he heard the door click and he opened the door. His heart sunk. She was sitting on the edge of the bathtub now, crying hysterically.
"What's wrong?" Pacey asked her. Joey picked up the razor. It took him a minute, but he figured out what she had done, or wanted to do. "Oh Joey, no!" He said. He reached over and took the razor out of her hand, placing it on the counter. "Come on, let's get you out of here." Pacey picked her up like a child. She was shaking as he carried her out of the bathroom and into her bedroom.
He held her close and let her cry for a few minutes before speaking. "Why Jo?" He asked her, his voice full of concern. She wiped the tears out of her eyes.
"Well..."
