An Unexpected Visitor

This is something that I wrote really briefly late one night. It's been in my head for a few days, and I'm just getting around to writing it. I may edit it when I'm more awake ~_^. Read and review please!

Aya Mikage sat in a chair overlooking the ocean. She rested her hands on her stomach, feeling the unborn child kick at her touch. She sighed solemnly, even as half a smile formed across her lips at the thought of this little life created out of love. As hard and unhappy as her life had been a few months ago, it was now just as equally happy and fulfilling...but the nightmares still came sometimes.
Tooya had gone into town for some groceries, and she wasn't expecting Yuuhi or Suzumi or her mother. For once, she had a few hours all to herself. She thought that she would enjoy it, but she found it unsettling, because her mind had begun to drift back to the events that had occurred following her sixteenth birthday. The image of her twin, Aki, lying dead on the floor remained fresh in her mind. Her whole body shook as she began to sob, holding her head in her hands.
"Aya..."
"Huh?" She looked up, confused. She sniffled and wiped her eyes. "Who's there?"
"Aya...you should be laughing and smiling. You're supposed to be happy..."
She looked around, seeing a shadowed figure. Squinting, his features became clearer. "You died...I saw it..." The tears began to wet her cheeks once more. "AKI!" she cried out as she ran to embrace the figure. His embrace felt as light as the wind's touch.
"Aya...I am dead. But know that I am watching you from the Heavens, making sure that you are safe and happy. You are well loved here, I see that." He smiled. "But you are not as happy as you should be. You cry often when you are alone, when you don't think that anyone will notice. You think too much of the past."
"Aki...why did it have to be this way? Why can't you stay?"
"Aya...I have come to bring you a message. I have come to tell you to forget about the past. Stop blaming yourself for what happened. It was I who was too weak to stand up to the Shiso. Thank you, for setting me free. You have mourned the past much too long. You have a child and a husband to think of. It makes me happy to know that you are doing so well and that you are so loved. Stop crying Aya. I died, Chidori died, Miori died...that was our fate. Heaven is a beautiful place Aya, and you will be with us someday, when it's your time, I promise that we'll all be together again. And we'll be happy. But right now, Aya, you're alive. Stop living in the past and take comfort in the love that you have."
"Aki...we'll be together again someday? You promise?"
"Not soon...but someday, we'll all be together...I promise. Now go, Aya...he's calling you."

"Hmmm...huh? Tooya..." He gazed at her with such tender love. "...I just had the most beautiful dream, Tooya."
"A dream? What was it about?"
"A promise. That someday we will all be in Heaven together and everyone will be happy..."
