Author's Note: I got the idea for this on my way to school this morning. It quickly stemmed into a poem/story, and with a little help from Moanda, I finished it and decided to post it. Can you guess whose thoughts are reflected in the poem?
---
In a perfect world,
I'd be the hero.
And I'd be the light
Hiding behind her eyes,
In a perfect world.
In a perfect world,
She'd be mine.
Our two hearts would
Beat together as one,
In a perfect world.
In a perfect world,
There'd be only me.
No other man could come
To steal her away
In a perfect world.
In a perfect world,
She'd never leave my side.
And I would never be left
All alone in a darkened room,
In a perfect world.
In a perfect world,
I'd be the perfect man,
With the perfect house, the perfect children,
And the perfect wife,
In a perfect world.
In a perfect world,
It'd be like Heaven on Earth
But no such place
Can be found,
There is no perfect world.
In this unperfect world,
I sit alone.
I walk alone.
I stand alone.
I AM alone,
In this unperfect world.

Updated Author's Note: I've been getting asked just who is this poem about? Well, when I had the idea, and I originally wrote it, it was about ::sigh:: Angel(I'm like one of those freakin' furies! Lol). And when I let mi amiga read it(she's like my editor), she told me she thought it was about Wes. So then I re-wrote it, adding parts in and taking parts out, and it is about Angel thinking about Cordy OR Wesley thinking about Fred. Congratulations if you guessed right! :)
