Childhood and Sake

- Hitoribochi Art 1/6

1864- Genji Year.

Yukishiro Tomoe heard about her fiancé -Kiyosato Akira- has been assasinated. She felt really depressed about it and thought nothing more of how much it was her fault. Akira knew he loved her deep down inside ever since they were both young. To many women, Tomoe was the luckiest woman alive to be wedded- or soon to be- to Akira. He always have seemed to be the ideal man to them.

Tomoe ordered a jar of sake and began drinking. Her scar underneath her shredded heart made her think of the past when she was young. How calm it was with never a care. to think of. Sitting out in the fields of Japan watching the wonderful view. Out in the snow seeing all of nature's beauty go by.

She can never seem to forget the ways her and Akira played and been around. Those days she never wanted to forget. Those wonderful times out in the fields. Every day she used to think of those days- especially while being trained for house work. But she never could express herself towards Akira.

The more sake Tomoe drank, the more it made her feel melancholy. She looked down the window and saw the rain outside. Tears rolled down her eyes- she immediately wiped it out of her sad face and thought nothing more of how responsible she was for his death. She wishes she would of expressed her thoughts towards Akira, but alas, she wasnt able to.

"Why must have he thought he wasn't good enough for me? I know he was..." Tomoe thought.

She stood up of her seat and walked outside in the rain- umbrella in hand. She walked and thought nothing more. She soon stopped as a man got sliced in half by noone else but the Hitokiri Batousai. Blood dripped all over Tomoe's umbrella and kimono. She stared as the rain of blood dripped.
