Still, seeing you with her and knowing that you really don't care for me, is putting my feelings to the test

I know that we planned it to end this way

You and I together was like a madcap play

However, those few days with you felt so real

I can't let myself believe that, however, because that wasn't part of the deal

That was the reason I left you after prom; you would have just left but I know I would have wanted to keep you

No, you are with her and to her, your feelings hold true

I have the sense to recognize that I don't know how to let you go

But these are feelings that I only I know

I have the earning to be with you

But leaving is doing what I have to do

But, I still don't know how to let you go

I do what I promised to do
