. . . Mainframe Special News Report . . .
This is a Mainframe Special News Report, brought to you by Mike the TV! From the wreckage of the Principle Office's Great Hall after the disastrous wedding, our reporters have discovered evidence of Megabyte's treachery even before the virus revealed his true form.
After analyzing the clothing formats worn by the sprites on that second, our tech-boys discovered small devices concealed in the clothes [see pictures of the beautiful wedding dress, the snapping tuxedos, and the embarrassingly poofy bridesmaids' dresses.]. These devices, hidden from sight inside the collars of the outfits, (as is explained by our very own tech-boy Hue), "tapped directly into the sprites' neural impulses and scrambled their common logic to fit the accommodating situation.
"In other words, they were mind-control gadgets that made the sprites a little too happy about the wedding and made them conveniently forget the real Bob's condition at that time."
Many witnesses to the wedding observed the "out-of-character" behavior of Our Heroes and have given their comments.
"Something was up, I could tell," Mr. Pearson told our reporters. "They were all acting like simpering idiots, for User's sake. And, not thinking at all about Bob in the Supercomputer — the sprites would never do that."
Now that the sprites in question have rebooted out of their wedding wear, they are acting mostly like their old selves.
What a relief, to have some things explained. But there are still many mysteries lurking about, all due to Megabyte's reappearance: How did he become a Trojan Horse virus? Why did he come back to Mainframe? What is in store for Our Heroes? So many questions — all to be answered, in another news special, titled The Hunt: The Will to Survive. That is, if we all live long enough. . . .
That's all the news there is in Mainframe, in the bleak and hopeless seconds of The Hunt. This is Mike the TV, signing off . . . and praying for his life.
