Max quietly picked the lock and snuck into Logan's apartment.
'That man better be happy to see me after that rips…' she muttered, before heading down the hallway to the computer room. Strangely he wasn't in there, asleep at his computer, as he always had been before Manticore had caught her. Max quietly carried on down the hallway, and into Logan's bedroom. Upon entering she could see that Logan was fast asleep in bed.
Funny she thought I don't see his wheelchair…..
Quietly, so as not to wake him, she slipped off her jacket, top and leather pants, and on one of Logans shirts that she had pulled out of one of his draws. Then she slipped into bed next to him, and after a weeks worth of running, she dropped off to sleep. The next morning, in the early hours, she aawoke to a yell, and then someone shaking her.
'MAX!!!!'
'Jesus Christ Mogan. Can't a girl a moments peace…. Or even a little sleep in??? Its like 6.30 in the morning.'
With that she rolled back over and tried to go back to sleep. Suddenly she remembered that she was back, and that this wasn't a dream. Max turned over. Looking straight into Logan's peircing crystal blue eyes, Max almost cried. 'I'm back Logan.' She stated.
He looked at her with confusion and happiness.
'But…… How? What?…… Max!!!!!!!'
Max smiled at him, and held her arms out ' I need a hug Logie.'
He gave her a weird look ' OK, who are you, and what have you done with my Max? The one whos never asked for a hug in her life!!!'
Max laughed His Max, huh??? I like the sound of that! 'Logan, When I got shot, Zach gave up his life for me. The doctors gave me his heart…….'
'Oh God… Max…..'
'And in the forest, what I wanted to say to you, was, I ……'
Logan hugged her ' That doesn't matter right now, Max.'
Max held him away form her ' But it does. Don't you see Logan, that's what you said then. That day. And I never got to tell you. Logan, I love you. I love you so much, that you are the only thing that kept me alive in there. You are what made me try to hard to escape. I love you Logan Cale.'
Logan was speechless Well, that wasn't completely what I was expecting her to say,….. but yay!!! Max loves me!!!!! Oh My God………..MAX LOVES ME……..
