Twister's Story
My story begins in New York City. My brother Tornado and I were street dogs. It was hard to find food for both of us and we were constantly in fights with other dogs. We stayed mostly in an alley not to far away from the Ghostbusters place. They never saw us though, and we never saw them.
One day while we were looking for food Tornado got a stupid idea. "Since we're near the Ghostbusters place, and they're not there, let's go in and steal some food," he said. "Yeah, right," I replied. My stomach started to growl. "Okay, Okay. Let's go," I said. We snuck in through a side door in an alley next to the building. Tornado was very excited. I repeatedly told him to shut up. We searched around and finally found the kitchen. We raided the refrigerator, but instead of taking it back to the alley we ate everything there. "Let's get outta here," I said, getting nervous. We looked around trying to find the way we came in. We turned into a room, the living room. There sat the Ghostbusters. Once Tornado saw them he yelped. "Yeah Tornado, they're not here," I growled and rolled my eyes. They all turned around and looked at us. "Run", I told Tornado. "I'll distract them." Tornado turned around to run, but of course, the big klutz ran right into the wall. They got up and walked toward us. I growled and bared my teeth. "It's okay," they said. "Leave us alone," I replied. I looked around for a way out. "Please stay, we need dogs like you to help us. We need you to distract and disorient the ghosts," said one, who was Egon. "What's the catch," I asked. "No catch, just a good home and no more living on the streets," said another, who was Peter. "Well......alright fine. We'll do it," I replied.
For the next couple of weeks Tornado and I got trained. We even got our own proton packs and traps. "Ooh, the fun I could have with these," I said.
We did a lot more than I thought when it came to the jobs we had. We ran around distracting the ghosts and making them confused. Then the Ghostbusters shot them and trapped them. It was pretty fun though, until the most horrible day of my life struck me down.
We got called to this old building. There were two ghosts. They were really fat and human-like. They were also very mean. We went into the building and searched around. It was very dark, dusty, and gloomy. There were shards of glass all over the floor. "This is gonna be fun," I said. There were no ghosts around. "Come out, come out, wherever you are," I growled. Suddenly, the ghosts came racing through the wall. One headed for Tornado and the other headed for me. I pounced. I brought the ghost down. It grabbed me by my throat and turned me around so I was looking at Tornado. The other grabbed Tornado's neck and snapped it like a twig. "NOOOOOO," I howled as I watched his head swing back and forth. The ghost took off with Tornado's body. The ghost that was holding me picked up a piece of glass and stabbed me in the side. I didn't even notice. The ghost let go and flew off after the other. I got up and ran after them. I tried my best to catch up to them but they were too fast. I stopped and collapsed.
When I woke up I was at the Ghostbusters. I had a big bandage around my middle. I got up from the floor and walked to find the guys. They were all sitting at a table in the kitchen. "How ya feel," asked Ray. "I'm sorry guys, but I can't stay here anymore. It's too much. I gotta get outta here," I said. I ripped off the bandage and walked out.
As I walked into the street, I looked back. They were all looking out the window waving at me. I barked goodbye and headed for the horizon.
