My love, do you ever dream of,
Candy coated raindrops?
You're the same, my candy rain.

I was stretched out on my bed, idly wasting the day away. Next to me was a huge bag of gumdrops, in all sorts of colours. Of course, if I were to eat all of these by myself, mom would kill me for sure. So I called over Goten. He loved these things more than I did.

A few minutes later a knock on the door startled me. "Come in," I said. "It's open." Goten pushed the door open and made a running leap for my bed, landing on it with much force; so much for he knocked me right off. Goten just laughed. "Sorry, Trunks, I'll be more careful not to do that again!"

I mock-scowled. "Yeah right." Goten's attention was elsewhere though, his eyes were fixed on the bag of candy settled next to my pillow. "Trunks.. are you going to eat all of these?" Goten asked, hoping like hell I'd say no. "Why, of course I'm going to eat all of those. They're there aren't they?" I replied, grinning. This was a game we played with each other forever; try and see if you could convince the other to share.

Have you ever loved someone,
So much you thought you'd die?
Giving so much of yourself,
It seems the only way.
Tell me what you want, and I
And I will give it to you,
'Cause you are..

"Oh, but Trunks! Don't you want to share with your best friend? Haven't I been here for you? Tell me you remember!" Goten said, putting on what I believe to be the most persuading, pleading voice one would hear. "If I give you candy, what will you give me in return?" I inquired, walking around to the other side of my bed to retrieve my candy.

"Whatever you would want! A token of friendship, a bracelet, even beat up the bullies that would try and take your candy." Goten was smiling insanely now. He got some sort of kick out of this. I couldn't say that I didn't, even after all of these years. You know what they say, whatever floats your boat? Or something like that.

"A token of friendship." I answered. "I shall take that, in exchange for half of this bag of candy." Goten smiled before disappearing and coming up in front of me. "'Kay Trunks, close your eyes, no peeking. When I count to three, then you can open your eyes." I raised an eyebrow. "Why do I have to close my eyes?" He replied quickly, "It's a surprise, just go with it! Close your eyes."

My love,
Did you ever dream that it could be so right.
I never thought that I would find,
All that I need in life.
All I want, all I need now I know,
I know I found it in you.
I found it in you..
'Cause you are...

I closed my eyes, and waited for him to count to 3. It didn't take long. "One, two, three.. look at me Trunks!" Goten said, before pressing his lips to mine. My eyes flew open wide, and before I could truly comprehend what happened, his lips were gone again, closing over his fingers which were holding assorted gumdrops. "Goten, what did you just do?" I asked, sitting next to him on my bed.

Mid-bite he turned to me. "You said you wanted to token of friendship. The token of friendship is a kiss.. it's more modern, you know?" Goten said and winked at me. "You didn't like it? I know you did, you're still red.. no denial!" I didn't know whether I liked it or not, but I knew that I wanted some of my own candy. "Don't eat it all, Goten! I want some too!" I said, trying to catch his hand with the bag as he switched from arm to arm.
