Relena's Rant
Okay first off, the name is Relena Darlian, not Peacecraft. Did no one pay attention to episode 49 or Endless Waltz? But that's the least of my annoyances. If that were all I'd just sigh and shake my head at their lack of research. But it's the assassination of my character that REALLY pisses me off. Anyway I've decided the best way for me to deal with it and let off a little steam is to publish my rant.
First I don't think this will change anyone's opinion but it will sure as hell make me feel better! I totally respect those who watched and enjoyed Gundam Wing without enjoying my role in it. Thanks their right and more power to them. But can't they at least give me a little credit? After all I did unify the fucking world!
Okay now one to the main points of debate in my character, the supposed 'stalking' of Heero Yuy. How is what I did stalking? Well okay that following him to his new school thing was a little weird but my life WAS a little screwed up at that point. I mean my father just died! In front of me! After telling me that my life to that point had been a lie! What the hell would you have done? The only other time I followed Heero at all was when I went to Antarctica which was really so I could give him the letter from Mrs. Noventa. I know; I know I'm trying to justify my actions, but that was part of it. The opening of his letter was wrong too, but I wanted to make sure it was my Heero and not someone with his name. I'm justifying again aren't I? Well it's still true. Plus I was fifteen, aren't children allowed to be a little stupid? And after the Antarctica incident did you really ever see me chasing him? He came to me in the Sanq Kingdom.
Which brings us to my second point of contention, my supposed intellect or lack there of. Okay, people do you REALLY think that they make people Vice Foreign Ministers at age fifteen who are stupid? Do you? I outsmarted Duke Dermile didn't I? Of course that wasn't really that difficult. I understood Trieze's motives and heck isn't that a sign of intelligence? I mean the guy was the only one who had any clue of what was behind everything in the show.
This brings me to the whole yaoi thing. If Heero is gay, and I have no idea either way, I'd still love him. But, and I'll say this again BUT, I'd NEVER try and break up his relationship with anyone, male or female. I'd be upset, God who wouldn't! But I'd deal with it. If you were paying attention you'd noticed that I grew up in the course of the show. Having your life altered so violently tends to do that.
There all points covered I think. I do feel better. One last thing before you go; if I wanted to I could seriously toss pacifism and kick ass. For those who aren't aware of guns it is extremely difficult to shoot them straight and steady if you haven't practiced. I shot Lady Une's rose off from a foot away without damaging her jacket. If you think that was accidental then you've never tried it. Either I was lucky (As was Lady Une) or I'm a crackshot. Believe what you choose.
