Disclaimer: I don't own Inuyasha ::starts to sob:: so JUST DON'T SUE
FYI: the girl is not really supposed to be Kagome
Lost Comfort
A mother and her daughter yelled back and forth in the middle of a vicious arguement. The girl
clenched her teeth and fists. Her nails bit into her palm as she restrained her temper. She held back her tears
and kept a blank look on her face. Her mother was infuriated by the lack of emotion and demanded some
expression. The girl stubbornly concentrated on remaining blank only slightly glaring into her mother's
furious eyes. The arguement finally ended and the mother left the girl's room slamming the door behind her.
The girl sat on her bed against the back board. She pulled her knees to her chest and wrapped her
arms around them. Finally burying her head into the cover of her arms she allowed the tears to fall. She
cried almost hysterically as she rocked herself, all alone in her room.
Arms of a red yukata wrapped around her pulling the girl into a strong embrace. Her head rested
on a warm chest and she looked up into golden youkai eyes. The tears slowly stopped as she snuggled into
the warmth and safety of the one who held her. SHe clung to the fire rat fur and shivered slightly the
strength of her anger melting out of her.
The girl began to play with a piece of long white hair that hung down the hanyou's shoulder. It
calmed her with it's feel of silk. She began to fell sleepy as gentle clawed hands rubbed and moved over her
back. This comfort, this warmth, and this protection was all she ever wanted. Her eyes closed and then she
felt the hands were gone. Along with the warm body she had been leaning against.
Her eyes snapped open immediately and looked around. She was all alone in her room. The girl's
tears came again but not with anger as the first time. They came from the anxiety of being seperated from
the one comfort that she had. She covered herself with a blanket and clung to her pillow. Still with
continuous fresh tears falling from her eyes she fell asleep.
A single clawed finger reached out of the darkness and wiped the tears that were drying on the
girl's cheeks. The girl's lips lifted up from its deep frown into a soft smile. Her dreams had taken a happy
turn from reality. She laughed as she chased after a hanyou in a red fire rat yukata, with long white hair,
white dog ears, clawed hands, and golden eyes.
END
I hope you enjoyed this minna-san. Feel free to flame me if you feel it necessary but I think I did a pretty good job.
