To his wife, his son, the armies and men.

To the Emperors daughter, and old interest of his

But to Commodus, there was no light in the dim.

Riches of glory, gone now are the years.

Of Imperial showcases of blood and lust.

In the days of Gladiator, antiquity reams up.

D is for daring, courage and challenge.

Shown by the General, Before Rome's fall.

Daring and Emperor, stealing his crowd.

Defeating all, even his one hatred of all.

I is for impale, when at last Maximus struck.

When piercing enemies, on field and sand.

When Commodus stabbed him, before the last stand.

When Maximus impaled Commodus, leaving Rome to the sand.

A is for avenge, Maximus's last revenge.

General, slave, gladiator, a path leading to gore.

Inflicted upon Commodus, leaving Rome imperial no more.

To save Rome, and avenge the true Emperor's death.

T is for tranquillity, the peaceful moments after death and war.

When the barbarians were defeated, and the air stood silent.

When Maximus kissed the Emperor, before seeking his revenge.

When both were dead, the Emperor and the slave.

O is for obeying, orders and commands.

The troops fought freely for the general, obeying his every demand.

Obeying Commodus, Quintus condemned Maximus to death.

In the end obeying his mind, Quintus seized all swords.

R is for Rome, history's mightiest Empire.

The coliseum, Imperial palace, landmarks of Rome.

Empires captured, provinces made.

Rome's great deeds, measured and weighed.

This is the real assignment

Deeds of courage, feats of joy.

Fighting and racing, throughout the day.

Citizens watch, men and dames.

Barbarian hordes, Roman Cohorts.

A great mighty General, commanding his men.

Songs of victory, men full of fears.

C is for Coliseum, the grand circus of Rome.

Shows strength and courage, no sign of fall.

It gathers the crowds, holding thousands and all.

Entertaining Rome, with it's numerous features.

D is for death, the mask over life.

Erupting on man, as he makes his last stand.

Removing his soul, spoiling corpses to the sand.

Death ruled Rome, the sands rained of blood.

E is for entertainment, the pleasing of the crowds.

Hundreds of slaves, trained to engage.

Fighting for their lives, while outside of their cage.

Entertainment of death, formed in Rome.
