decided to spy for Dumbledore story, so this story is about what Snape told Dumbledore when he decided to come clean.

Severus Snape's POV
Severus Snape knocked softly on the door, and heard a cheerful come in. He slowly opened the door and stood nervously in the doorway. Dumbledore looked up, surprise evident on his face.
"Hello Severus."
Snape looked at Dumbledore and felt fear course through him. Perhaps, if I'm lucky he will just kill me. To afraid to speak, he slowly rolled back his sleeve to reveal the Dark Mark.. As he did this he carefully adopted a neutral expression. Severus waited to hear the words Avada Kedavra, but they never came. Dumbledore looked up at Severus and saw him flinch.
"What do you want Severus?"
Snape's head jerked up in surprise. He hadn't expected this. He had thought that Dumbledore would just kill him immediatly. What do I want? I never wanted to be a killer so that
can't be it. Then in a soft voice that held more pain and surprise than any voice should be capable of holding he said,
"I need your help..."

Albus Dumbledore's Pov
Dumbledore sighed as he looked at the papers that cluttered his desk. It had been a busy day, especially with all the attacks.
*Knock*
Dumbledore didn't even look up, it's probably just a student he thought.
"Come in"
Dumbledore looked up and blinked in surprise. Who ever he had been expecting, Severus Snape hadn't been it. Albus remembered Snape from school. He had always been a quiet child and liked to be left alone. Dumbledore looked at Snape, and saw that he was terrified.
"Hello, Severus." I wonder why he's here, Dumbledore thought to himself, there's no reason for Voldemort to send a friendly Death Eater.
"What do you want Severus?"
Then in a voice that shocked Dumbledore to the core, Snape replied,
"I need your help..."
