I Could Call You

I could call You

Master and Lord

For those You are

But those names

Underrate You by far

When I think of all

You've given: life thrice over,

Hope in despair, trust in betrayal,

friends in loneliness,

Every tiny favor for every tiny request,

I know You're more than my Master.

For a master does not give His slaves gifts

Rather, a Father does.

Thank You, Abba, Daddy,

I owe my life to you

To Your Hand and to Your heart

And to Your endless, boundless grace

And so this day I renew my vow

That in trial and tribulation

When troubles all abound

When I'm young and when I'm old

Alone and surrounded by loved ones

I'll keep repeating what shall always be true:

I love You.
