History of the Guardian

Jayce Richards, as an infant around the age of nine, was caught in a fire with his family. His father, Benny Richards, told Jayce's older brother, Lance, who was at the age of fourteen, to take Jayce and find a way to the firemen. Berry Richards told the two boys not to worry about he and their mother. Lance had said okay, and was taking Jayce to an emergency exit they had planned out, when a large beam from the ceiling crashed down in front of them. They had no way out.

They thought that they were done for, when, out of nowhere, a figure with a crimson cape came flying in and lifted the beam. The stranger told the two boys to hurry, and Lance led Jayce out with the utmost haste. After the flames had cleared, a fireman came up to the two boys and announced sadly that their parents had not made it. Jayce was crying into the fireman's arms, with Lance standing by his side, when a strong hand touched his shoulder.

"Don't cry. They will always be remembered," was the voice. Jayce turned to the man who was talking, and saw that very same man. Jayce now saw that he was dressed in blue with a red cape, and a red S on his chest. It was Superman! Superman was the one who saved them from that fire! Jayce couldn't believe his eyes. The legendary Man of Steel was right in front of him!

After that first encounter, Jayce began to train in boxing at the age of fifteen. His uncle Trevor had taken he and Lance in, and Trevor, with the aid of his son Zac, raised the two boys. In the middle of a crisis, when Jayce was the age of twenty-five, the Justice League of America broke up, leaving no great heroes to defend America and more. Jayce decided it was time for he to take action.

He had a high-tech scientist help him with developing the greatest armored suit anyone had ever seen. It contained jet-powered boots, was an excellent armor, made Jayce stronger than any normal man could be, and would focus energy to make transparent forceshields. After a year and a half of training and fighting small-town crooks, Jayce thought that it was time for the big leagues. He had seen the death of Superman, and it was time to avenge that death.

He went to the President of the United States and said that the Justice League was back. With a helmet covering up his secret identity, and the adopted Superman insignia on his chest, the people of the world came to know him as…
