Title: What If
By: Lux Cecilia Lisbon
Summary: What if Lux didn't do it? What if she had been free in the way the boys thought?
Notes: As cool as the movie and book are, I've wondered how things would be if they survived - or at least one of them. Also, this is my first VS fic, with plenty more to probarly come! (The book is my fave book, and the movie is my fave movie!)Finally, if my pen name says Slashy Slayer instead of Lux Cecilia Lisbon, don't worry. I'm *trying* to change it to Lux Cecilia Lisbon!

"You guys wait here for my sisters." Lux confirmed, and gave a longing look into the house, quietly mouthing goodbye to her 4 sisters, Mary, Therese, Bonnie and Cecilia.

Sitting in the car, tears built up in her eyes. She didn't know what to do. She had a choice. Shecould sit here, and wait for the guys, or she could do it. Turn the engine on, and wait for life to slip away. Lux sighed again. Standing by the car, Lux lit a cigeratte, and stood there, breathing in the addictive and murderous scents.

She thought. She thought about her sisters, and what they were doing now. Maybe sitting on clouds, Cecilia wearing that damn wedding dress, and playing a harp. Bonnie, Therese and Mary maybe just doing whatever the hell they wanted. After all, they were free. But Lux knew, whatever they were doing, they were happy. She knew exactly what the guys were gonna find. Therese stuffed with sleeping pills, Mary with her head in the oven, and Bonnie, hanging from that low beam. Lux could almost hear the creaking of the rope. She had been there when Bonnie had done it. She stood there and watched her swinging back and forth...it was hypnotising.

Back to reality, Lux pushed the cigarette out with her foot. Then, she moved to the car, and got in the front passenger seat.

Minutes later, she heard shreiks, and the boys came running from the house, terrified by what they'd seen.
"You're...You're sisters." Began Chase.
"I know." Said Lux, simply, pulling out another cigarette. Taking a long sigh, she said. "C'mon, let's go."
"But..."
"Let's go!" She snapped. She couldn't look at the house anymore. Too many memories of being held in that cage, which had drove her sisters and herself to insanity. Slowly, Lux heard the engine warm up, and just as daylight was breaking, the car pulled away from Lux's past - her sisters, and drove into her future - Freedom.
