And many more names that are hard to spell,
One man, not three,
Of royal blood is he,
The greatest ranger there will ever be.
Raised by an elven lord,
He is never without his faithful sword.
Elendil is its name,
Isildur gave it glory and fame.
It once was broken, but has been forged once again.
Rightful heir to the throne of Gondor,
He aided Frodo in getting to Mordor.
A perilous quest,
For none but the best,
His honour would not let him rest.
During battle he'll not tarry,
For he is always wary.
Orcs and Uruk-Hai are not welcome.
He does not like these pieces of scum.
Fighting them makes him glum.
His ancestry is infamous,
But about it Strider makes no fuss.
Long ago he turned from that path,
This fills some of his peers with wrath.
But he chose to write his own epitaph.
