Title: The Rabbit and the Moon

Disclaimer: As much as I wish I did, I don't own Cardcaptor Sakura or any characters mentioned here, the wonderful ladies of CLAMP do. I'm just using them for my own twisted purposes. Sueing me will get you $6.25, my battered copy of Prisioner of Azkaban, a stuffed rabbit and a stuffed snail by the names of Yue and Yukito, and my eternal hatred.
Author's Notes: This was actually written as an assignment for English, at 10:30 at night. Much to my surprise, my English teacher actually LIKED it, although I have no idea what grade I got on it. Please keep in mind that this is a sonnet, and thus has a strict form, so any odd wordings are due to me trying to get things to rhyme properly. Now, onto the poem...er, fic!

Snow Rabbit, you who are reflected moonlight,
You were made as but a mask for him, the Moon.
Yet you are real, full of your own mind and might,
Always cheerful, even in the face of doom.
And you, the Moon, who appears
So cold and harsh, so unfeeling, true,
but deep inside lay buried sorrows and fears.
Of love and loss of those close to you.
But be you Snow Rabbit or shining Moon,
both two seperate faces of the same soul.
Your hearts are alike, and sing to the same tune
Of the fair peach blossom who your heart stole.
And called however, by which of your names,
You are loved forever, exactly the same.
