A Poem Dedicated to The Gatekeeper of Ice, Houjou Yukino.

I see a red door and I want it painted black
No colors, not anymore. I want it painted black.
I see the ages go by, leaving me without a word
So much I've lost, without you, I have no other world...
I see a line of trees, and they're all tainted black
With flowers, blood and swords, my love, never to come back
I see people turn their heads and quickly look away
I've lived no other life, I am condemned to stay..
I look inside myself and see my heart is black
Despite the white kimono, all I feel is black
Maybe then I'll fade away and not have to face the fact
that you're gone, forever, and you're never going back
The blood drops from my palm and leaves a trail in the snow
I have no feelings now, no tears to shed or show
If I look hard enough into the setting sun
Your love shall stain my heart until my last breath comes

So many lies I've made, so many masks I've worn
My face hides beneath a heart that is too ripped up and torn
My blood flows freely now, dripping into the snow
So much I've lost without you, I cannot go on
To be trapped in the hell that I myself had locked me in
To suffer all eternity of not having you with me...
I see the red snow now, stained with my own red blood
Tainting my white kimono, tainting it in black
I've felt all the pain, the sufferings life can ever bring
But none can compare with the pain that you have brought upon me...
I see a red door and I want it painted black.

And now I wait for the darkness to return you to me
And I'll sleep in your arms, and into the darkness you'll carry me...

C.R: As you can see, I've taken the lyrics of the Rolling Stone song 'Paint It Black' and rewrote it. No, I'm not a Yukino hater. I happen to think that Yukino's by far the most under-represented gatekeeper in AEGIS. The anime should have delved more into her feelings, being an immortal.
