Ten Thousand Angels Cried
From the first time,
All white.
Such a smile,
Such a voice,
Such a happiness.
I'll try not to kill her,
For what her "family" has done.
There's no bird on he shoulder,
No sword by her side.
All the money's she worth,
It can't matter now.
Her "family" will kill her.
Those eyes with stay open,
And she'll smile such a smile.
"I've died once before."
So I tell her.
"Then you must be angel sent back."
So she tells me.
I never got to Heaven's door.
You'll walk the empty street,
A slow light walk.
You won't be going anywhere,
But you'll keep on smiling.
Smiling that damn smile.
Over in nothing.
A stab there,
And a gun shot here.
Blood on the window,
The table toppled over.
Those white roses on the floor.
The curtains off the hook.
You'll look up at me,
Through black, gray and white eyes.
I'll look back with my discolored eyes.
You'll cough some red,
Stain your clothes more,
And yes, mine.
"Such beautiful eyes…"
You'll say in a soft whisper.
"…for such a beautiful angel…"
That's it.
Your eyes open apart,
Your smile small.
"Ten thousand angels cried…just for you"
A SMALL PREVIEW OF THINGS TO COME…
