Mr. Hero

(A story told through the eyes of the guard from Death Mountain
Ch. 2
The nest morning, the kid came back. I was surprised, I thought he had been eaten or something. He had on a yellow mask and a good Hyrulian sheild. He ran up to me and I said "You ent' gonna fool me with that mask, Mr. Hero. Can I buy that mask?" He nodded and took it off. I dug around in my pocket for some rupees and gave him 30. " There, you really are Mr. Hero." I was so happy, I put on the mask and watched him run up the mountain. He is gonna do some great stuff, I said to my self. After that, often I saw him runnin' up and down the mountain. One time there was a big boom up'n the mountain. I don't know what it was but I didn't know how he kept alive up there. I wouldn't do it myself. I remember the last time he came down the mountain. It was right after there was a lot of yelling up'n the mountain. I figgered it was the Gorons, cause there was big crashes too. Then he came runnin' down the mountain, lookin' terrified. He had this BIG ruby in his hands. Then I was sure I saw this light followin' him around, an' it even talked! He waved to me and headed right on to town. I never saw him again. I mean, sure I heard tons of stuff about him from the villagers. The cuckoo lady said, "He helped me get my cuckoos back!" and this kid in the graveyard said, "Wow, he let me buy this cool mask from him! I can't believe it!" and weeks later I heard that he snuck into the castle to speak to the princess. After that, the evil came and for seven years I hid in a house in the village. I wonder where he is now?
