Inside Voices
By Colorain
Disclaimer: I remembered these poems that you are supposed to read in two voices and thought that would be such a cool thing to do for Mutant X. Though I never say who they are, it ought to be easy to tell. Assuming this formats correctly, the left is Adam, the right is Eckhart. I don't own these characters.
Instructions on how to read this poem aloud: The speaker who has taken the left side starts first. Whenever there is a space between his line, he stops, and the second speaker says his line. It's pretty immediate. When both sides have a line at the same time, they both start simultaneously. Confused? E-mail me, I'll explain better.
The cries of my children are
haunting
Taunting
Killing
Thrilling in my ears
Burning
Burning
Burning through my ears
Falling
Calling
Falling far away
They wish for me
They ask for thee
And do I grant them last request?
I take that right away
You've got no right to
The cries of his children are
Thrilling
Killing
Killing in his ears Killing in my ears
