Longing for the Ocean, Dreaming of the Sea
I begin to wonder why,
I feel the longing in my soul,
It gets stronger everyday,
Telling my heart where it needs to go.
Longing for the ocean,
Dreaming of the sea,
Something inside me whispers,
'It's where you need to be.'
The feel of the ocean breeze,
The smell of the salty air,
The waves crashing the shore,
The wind in my hair.
I don't know why,
This longing came,
I can almost see the beach,
Yet I look just the same.
Longing for the ocean,
Dreaming of the sea,
Something inside me whispers,
'It's where you need to be.'
I've always loved the ocean,
But not to this extent,
I'm half here and half there,
My heart, mind, and soul seem bent.
I need to see the ocean,
To feel its warmth and light,
Need to hear its song,
And soulful insight.
Longing for the ocean,
Dreaming of the sea,
Something inside me whispers,
'It's where you need to be.'
I begin to wonder why,
I feel the longing in my soul,
It gets stronger everyday,
Telling my heart where it needs to go.
Longing for the ocean,

Something inside me whispers,
