My Knight, My Best Friend....
As I sit here,
Not knowing of what to do,
I hope that one day,
The guilt goes away.
You left me without telling me,
I followed you into a battle willingly,
And saw you die before my eyes.
I felt guilty of your death,
That I had caused it in some way,
As you fell to the ground,
I felt your soul dying.
I rushed to your side,
Kneeling before you,
Your face turning pale,
And your breaths dying.
I begged of you not to die,
I needed you to be here with me,
To protect this country.
You said no,
You said that your time had come,
You grasped my cloak edge,
Holding only long enough to say goodbye.
You and I had been friends,
But now your image is all I live with.

As I wait to join you up there.
But I will wait for a long while,
For my body is not yet ready to die,
