Professor Magonicle sighed. The Christmas holidays had begun, and she was going to spend another lonely Christmas by herself. Menerva walked down the long hall toward the Griffendor tower. She came to a wall which held a small fountain in the shape of a lion, and tapped it with her wand saying "Revielium". The wall slid to the side and Menerva entered, laying the books she was carrying on a table. The rooms were amply furnished, but nothing was out of place. There was a warm bugandy, red, gold, and green Persian rug on the floor. The draperies were burgandy and gold, and the cheery fire that was lit glinted off of a mahogeny cocktail table. Menerva started to take the pins out of her hair, when she had finished her mousie brown hair tumbled down her back in a wave. It was long and surprisingly thick. She loosend the ties on her coservetive hunter green robes and allowed them to pool around her feet. The Professor still had a pleasing figure, she was not as thin as she was in her days at Hogwarts, but she was very fit, and looked younger then she actually was. Then Menerva picked up her robes and hung them in her closet, next she took off her underclothing, and pulled a light blue night gown from the draw and slipped it over her head. The professor happened to glace at the window, and instead of going to bed, she went and sat down on the window seat. "Look", she mused, "The heart star." " Oh no, If I'm not careful I'll end up like Tralawney! But still." There is a legend surrounding the Heart Star, the star is supposed to grant your heart's desire when your wish on it. Menerva gased at the star wishing with all her might that a lover would come to her to warm her heart and dispel the loneliness, and touch her and enter her and give her a Christmas she will never forget. "Ah well, I tried." Menerva murmured to herself, and she turned back the covers on her bed and slipped into a light sleep.
