Disclaimer: I most obviously don't own Gundam Wing.

A/N: This story takes place two years after Endless Waltz. The main characters are mostly Zechs and Noine, but all the other gundam pilots will be there too. I think. I don't really know yet. Anyways, after Endless Waltz Zechs and Noine (who are now married) are working as scientists to make Mars able to support life, but that doesn't actually have anything to do with the point of the story. Um, this fic is probably going to get really weird.

Zechs looked up from his work towards the door where Noine had just enter. "Hey, are all the plant samples ready to go?" he asked. "Yep, just finished up with the last ones," Noine replied. She bit her lower lip nervously. "I hope it works." "I'm sure it will. All the tests indicate that it will." Zechs hoped he was right.

They and a group of scientists had been working on teraforming Mars for two years. They were trying to make it able to support life. The biggest problem was the freezing temperatures on Mars. To warm it up a bit, they put large mirrors orbiting over a section of the planet. The mirrors reflected sunlight, causing the part of the planet the mirrors reflected onto to warm up quite a bit.

On the now warm part spot on the planet, they had built a greenhouse of sorts. The natural soil of Mars had a very high content of iron, and it didn't have any humus that contained the nutrients plants need. They had had to ship in lots of soil from Earth. Fortunately, Relena had convinced the government to sponsor the project.

Mars thin atmosphere was mostly made of carbon dioxide. That was good-from a plant's point of view. Carbon dioxide was constantly pumped into the greenhouse for the plants to use in photosynthesis and the oxygen released from the plants would be pumped back out into the atmosphere. Water found under the surface of Mars would be used to provide water for the plants. The overall plan was eventually to get enough oxygen in the atmosphere to allow humans to live there. So the whole thing should work, in theory. The only way to find out was to actually plant plants.

That's what Zechs and Noine would be doing. They where leaving the next morning in a space ship to go to Mars to plant the plants. Robots controlled by remote control from Earth would tend to the plant's everyday needs.

"We better get to bed," Noine said, startling Zechs from his thoughts. "We have to get up pretty early tomorrow." Zechs nodded and got ready to leave. He couldn't help but feel a tiny bit of anticipation about the next day. After working on this for two years, he really hoped everything would work out. But he couldn't help but feel that there was something else that was going to happen tomorrow.

Little did he know, but the events of the next day would change not only his fate, but the fate of the entire planet called Earth.
