In which the author has recently experienced POTO first-hand for the first time ( so, I'm probably behind all of you, but whatever) and wishes to express her ecstasy to her phellow phans :

Note: I do not own any of these characters nor do I own the concept. Honestly , is this even really necessary ? Well, I didn't think so...........

2nd Note: Hello, one and all. Just thought I'd take a moment to let you all know that this poem might seem strange and maybe even unusual. I simply wrote it to share with you all how excited I am to have finally seen this beautiful musical. Please keep in mind that this might not necessarily reflect my writing. Thank You, and please, send reviews! I love to hear from you all! Thank You, and enjoy .

Paper Faces on Parade

Silent Voices caress my ears

An unspoken message haunts the very walls within

gently as the roses fade and die

the music of the night will echo through my mind forever

Dude, I just saw "Phantom ."

Masquerade ! Paper faces on parade....

Hide your face so the world will never find you....

Spinning colors swirl and blend

with the harsh black and white that sits so firmly

as the fulcrum of the story

It was so beautiful but over much too quickly. Does anybody else notice that ?

How melodious the lyrics run together

intertwining with the hypnotic web of instrumentals

creating a trap so easily set

that catches so many so willingly

Cruel trap.

Beautiful Trap.

I bought all this merchandise. Those people are rich because of my crazy, impulse buying. But I don't care. mwahahahaha!

Lights and sound are presented

in an astounding inferno of extravagent beauty.

The lips are moved and the noises produced

but who can believe the wonders that flow from them?

Who indeed ?

I mouthed the words all the time. I even tried to sing along, and I sort of did, except I was sitting a little too close to this woman, and I didn't want to interrupt her viewing experience .

Heart-wrenching ear-splitting breath-stopping

mood-altering earth-shattering smile / tear-inducing

Quiet.

The lights are dimming .

Watch the story unfold .

Breathless and timid and small in an aura of amazing power.

I took all these pictures. Of the theatre (outside) and even of the actors, even though we're not supposed to, but it was over, and they were talking about donating money and everybody else was doing it.......

The world forgot him, but I never can...

for in this darkness I have seen him again ....

Fear can turn to love ...

you'll learn to see, to find the man behind the monster.

Silently the words are whispered.

penetrating the impending darkness.

Making you forget for just a moment ......

I really hope I get to see it again . It's worth the money and effort.

How curious it is to examine

How strange it all seems in retrospect

Nothing can penetrate the dream

The spell has been cast

The poisen implanted

The magic grows.

I dance in the splendor of this Sweet Dream

Gently as the roses fade and die

the music of the night will echo through my mind forever

yea , buddy .
