"Where is he?" Cody asked impatiently as the team waited for Donavan to arrive so that they could be informed on their latest mission. "He has never been late before and I doubt that he stopped to help an elderly woman cross the road." Alex chuckled, "That's for sure. But c'mon Cody he's not that bad." "Maybe not to you but ..." "Will you two stop it!" Monica yelled. Putting up with just one of them was enough but together it was near impossible. "I think Donavan has had a lot of things on his plate lately with the D.A. coming in and all. I've never seen him seem so upset." "Tell me about it. The two seemed to know each other though. Not that Donavan would ever admit it. He likes to keep his life as private as possible." "Well whatever the D.A. is bringing here today must be pretty important to this case." Alex glanced back as she spotted Frank coming in through the front doors. "Here comes trouble." "I heard that and for your information you better have a good reason for standing around talking instead of working like you should." Frank sighed. All he need this week was a controversy. It wasn't like this week had been hard enough with the anniversary of her.... "Frank I'm glad to see you here," D.A. Martin Marks said as he carried in a large box full of files. "I brought everything you asked for from your old office and look what I found. its a picture of your old negotiations team before you left the department. Frank ran and grabbed the photo before anyone could glance at it. "I never knew what happened to this, Martin. I thought I lost it when I moved." Jake looked over Donavan's shoulder at the picture. "Hey who's that girl in the photo with you there? The one that you have your arm around?" The team suddenly looked up and gathered around Frank but he quickly took the picture and placed it under his arm as he began to walk to his office. "Its an old friend of mine. She worked with me for several years." Frank continued to mumble as he ran to his office and closed the door behind him. I'll be right back," he said.
