THE SONG OF THE GEAR
My brothers crush Tokyo
My sister's a Gundam
But I'm a little Metal Gear--
It's not very fun-dam.
I'm here in this hangar
Which is dingy and musty,
Plus dark--and it's chilly--
And I'm getting all rusty.
This is not what I hoped for!
I wanted to squish
People under my feet
It's what –all- mecha wish,
But no, here I am.
I am patiently waiting
For legitimate staff
Or someone infiltrating
To take me away
Out into fresh air
And let me run free
In the cities out there!
It must be a marvel
To turn cars into goo
Or to look at some rubble
And know—it was you!
It's so very unfair!
I could walk through this wall
If my fusion plant went
Which it doesn't, at all.
So I'll sit here, and rust,
And keep right on waiting
In the dust and the gloom
On this rotten old grating
Until someone shows.
I'll get out of this cruddy
Old bay, and then…
I can –step- on somebody!

Thankew, thankew. Sorry.
