A/N: For weeks now, my best friend and I have constantly talking about Galadriel and Celeborn, and, as the result of this, my muses visited me today in maths, and I wrote down this little poem about the two.

The song of our life

A soft tune lingers in my ear,

The music of my beloved's life.

Strong and steady, never failing for thousand years.

My heart's humming the same melody,

Perfect harmony in our music.

No single note's been different since

My ear heard first his voice

And my music was changed to be one with his.

Together we have sung of our fate

In darkness, in light, between the stars and the sky.

And when the sun was veiled by shadows of fear,

Our melody began to fade, our hearts grew apart.

And yet, the song remained ours,

Not becoming his and mine.

Faintly did it kiss my ears, and stirred a wish from far away.

But with the years, the shadows growing near,

Fear began eating up my heart.

Darkness assaulted the Golden Wood,

The Mellyrn shivered in sudden fright.

And then, just before he rode away, on a horse in shining white,

I felt our song grow strong again, strength seeping into my heart.

A soft smile was everything he gave, leaving me behind,

His melody engulfing my soul.

I waited for him, for days as long as summers,

Listening to his song swirling in the breeze.

On one cruel morning then, my heart woke up and cried in fear.

The harmony was shattered, broken notes floating in the air:

Strangled cries that hurt my soul,

I saw blood seeping through his fingers.

A white horse, with red marring its fine coat,

Bore a form, so quiet, silver hair hiding waxen face.

His song was fading once again,

And after days of quiet suffer,

The ever-lasting melody vanished towards the sinking sun.

A poisoned arrow has taken away the song of our life,

The Golden Wood has ceased to sing.

A/N: Of course, Celeborn doesn't die in the books, but the poem kinda wrote itself, and in the end, I didn't want to change it again. Hope, you've liked it!!
