"I'm hungry" moaned Joey as they walked along the path that would take them to the coast of the duellist kingdom.
"Your always hungry Joey" laughed Tristan
"Joey has a good point actually" pointed out Yu-gi
" We haven't eaten since yesterday and duelling really takes it out of you"
"Talking of duellists," said Joey over a large rumble from his stomach
"I could do with another duel about now"
"You'll be lucky!" snapped Tai
"Your stomach noises have driven them away"
At that point however there was a rustling in the bush right next to them and out jumped a small man in a lime green jacket and black trousers.
"MAKO" shouted Yu-gi making everyone jump.
"How are you doing? Last time we duelled I beat you. Shall we try again?"
"Oh I don't think so," said Mako
"I don't want to duel you Yu-gi though I must admit, thrashing you would be quite a laugh. No, I want Joey to duel us!"
"What! Cried Tristan "Why?"
"So will you duel me or what?" Mako replied as though he hadn't heard
"OK" replied Joey with a tone of suspicion in his voice.
They moved through the trees and found themselves next to a duelling field.
"What is this place?" said Joey
"This wasn't here yesterday!"
"The field we have is a normal one on one hardcore field." said Mako
"We go round in a normal direction so I will go and then Joey"
They each drew their seven cards for their hand.
"The field is divided equally into our different strengths. 50% is Sea for my Ocean cretures and 50% meto for Joey's fighting types."
"I bet four star chips! Agreed?"
There was a murmur of assent.
"My turn first" yelled Mako. "And I play, THE FIEND CRAKEN! In attack mode!
"Then I'll choose, AXE RAIDER! In attack mode!" said Joey
"A fatal error in your choice of monster will cost you the duel Joey!" Called Mako.
"FIEND CRAKEN! VICE GRIP!"
Suddenly, large tentacles reached out of the water and wound themselves round Joey's Axe Raider crushing it to nothing.
"NO! My Axe Raider!"
LIFE POINTS= 1600
Then I'll choose, ARMOURED LIZARD!"
"GO! KORIOSHEEN. TIDAL SURGE ATTACK!"
A great monster reared its head as a tidal wave poured over Joey's Lizard drowning it and covering the field with water all except a small island of rubble.
LIFE POINTS= 1400
"Eeeerrrr, Tiger Axe?"
"VICE GRIP!"
Again, another monster was crushed.
LIFE POINTS= 1200
"I don't know what I can do" muttered Joey.
"I just can't see any moves, Unless, I use Garuzi with couneye with chain, yeah that might just work"
"Are you going to play or what?" yelled Mako from the other end of the field.
"Alright then, GARUZI, Go. And I also lay another card face down."
"Arise Fiend Craken!"
Long tentacles reached out and, behind the waving shapes like trees in a wind, rose the gigantic form of an octopus.
"VICE GRIP!"
Then suddenly, as the tentacles began to move themselves closer towards Joey, a metal object hurled itself at the advancing monster. It coiled round the stomach of the creature and griped there with a chain leading back to:
"My Garuzi. I combined it with this magic card called couneye with chain.
It captures any opponent that attacks AND raises its attack power by 400. Garuzi, 5 STAR STRIKE!"
Garuzi slashed an axe through the air forming a five-point star and shattering the Craken into pieces.
LIFE POINTS= 1500
"NO! You may have one this one but now it's my go, and I choose GREAT WHITE TERROR! He will lead my monsters on a colossal strike against you!"
"OH NO! I screwed up! Even with my powered up Garuzi I still can't beat this guy. I'm sorry Serenity, I failed you."
