Disclaimer: I don't own anything in this fic, not the scenerio, not the
characters, not the song. I do own the inspiration, but you know, that's
not much.
This is a short ficlet that I got inspiration for from the song "Maybe she's an angel." It made me think about Marie and Logan, because he did save her. Yay! I hope you enjoy it. I would do a continuation, but I don't know how. So…
Please Review.
WHAT IF SHE'S AN ANGEL?
That girl wasn't anything I had to care about. I mean, I'd been alone for more than fifteen years, no permanent connections, nothing. But then she showed up in my trailer. The girl.
"I saved your life." She exclaimed desperately. I could tell that what she was really saying was: "Please don't leave me out here all alone." And her eyes were so teary and soft.
But I couldn't afford to have another person to risk the life of other than myself.
I slammed the car door, put the keys in the engine, and then turned on the radio.
"Maybe she's an angel." I started the car, began driving slowly. "Sent here from heaven, just to, making sure that you're doing your best to find the time to help one another. Brother are you gonna pass that test? You can go on with your day to day, trying to forget what you saw in her face, knowing deep down, you could've been her saving grace. What if she's an angel?"
She sure had the eyes of an angel, the face and the body of an angel. So what if she is? "What if she's an angel?" The radio repeated.
"FINE!" I exclaimed, hitting the button to turn off the radio. I slammed on the breaks.
She ran into the car.
And I saw something like the flash of wings as she got in.
If she was an angel, well, I had just saved an angel.
